In the heart of the Dolomites ... almost touching the sky
Welcome to our house on the Giau Pass.
Our adventure in this little corner of paradise began in the 1980s in a slender wooden shelter that with time, and a lot of love, has been transformed into a welcoming hotel. Surrounded by pastures, the 6 rooms have spectacular views overlooking the most famous peaks of the Dolomites, such as the perennially white Marmolada, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the Sella Group.

Recipes from the ladin tradition
The mountain is the protagonist also in our kitchen, both in terms of ingredients and recipes.
Our specialties are based on mushrooms, game, mountain herbs, and locally produced cheeses and cold cuts. Our small patisserie bakes homemade cakes and biscuits daily, that we serve for lunch and breakfast. When the season changes into autumn, jams and fruit mustards are produced, and new recipes are added.

The rooms are all different in terms of layout and décor, with furnishings and floors made of wood...

The Giau Pass is the ideal starting point for beautiful hikes in the Dolomites: Mt. Nuvolau, the 5 Torri, Croda da Lago, Cernera, are just some destinations for easy walks. You just have to choose the season you prefer and prepare your backpack!
