Welcome to our house on the Giau Pass.
Our adventure in this little corner of paradise began in the 1980s in a slender wooden shelter that with time, and a lot of love, has been transformed into a welcoming hotel. Surrounded by pastures, the 7 rooms have spectacular views overlooking the most famous peaks of the Dolomites, such as the perennially white Marmolada, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the Sella Group.
You can easily reach us by car from Cortina and we are only two hours from Venice airport.
We’d be happy to welcome you for a quick snack, as well as to savour the flavours of the traditional Ladin dishes offered by our kitchen.
Our comfortable rooms, and the silence that only the mountain can offer, guarantee a healthy rest, while the wonderful scent of homemade cakes and wild fruit jams for breakfast stir your senses in the morning.
In winter, we are only a few minutes from the 5 Torri ski slopes which connect you to Val Badia, Cortina d'Ampezzo, and the Great War Ski Tour.
The Giau Pass is located along the Alta Via No 1 and is the starting point for popular hikes that lead to Nuvolau or Croda da Lago.
The hairpin bends that lead to the Giau Pass have been made famous by the legendary Maratona Dles Dolomites bike race. Reaching 2236 meters altitude by bicycle is a dream for every two-wheel enthusiast.
We are open in summer and winter, and we can be reached from Cortina d’Ampezzo and from Civetta, by bicycle, on skis, or hiking.
